The Context
Nottingham City Council recognised the need to modernise its independent living schemes to better support its most vulnerable residents. By integrating Intratone’s door entry systems with ChipTech’s digital dispersed alarms, the council enhanced security, safety monitoring, and remote care access. The ChipTech 7 unit’s dual SIM technology ensures uninterrupted service, while environmental sensors detect heat and smoke, boosting residents’ peace of mind.
Time Saving
Pre-programmed devices reduced installation time by 15 minutes per unit, while voice-guided setup enabled seamless installations. Integrated systems allowed carers to respond remotely via Nottingham on Call’s 24-hour monitoring service, reducing the need for in-person visits.
Cost Saving
The dual SIM system and remote access reduced maintenance visits, minimising operational costs. Nottingham on Call’s secure password-protected entry process enabled efficient, cost-effective care while maintaining residents’ independence and safety.
