There is a lot of hard work that goes into creating our innovative, wireless access control solutions – and it all starts with the product development team. To get our systems to the high standard that we’re known for, our in-house experts handle everything, including design and tech support, before devices are delivered to residences across the UK.

So, how do we do this? We’ve already explained our programming service – and now we go behind the scenes once again, this time to explore three things that ensure our product development cycle keeps running seamlessly:

1. Our product development team is ALL under one roof

Bringing all our property management devices to customers is a collaborative effort, which is why our product development team work together in the same building. With sales reps, R&D and app developers working side-by-side, nothing gets missed. This also makes it easier to give direct feedback to the production site for any tweaks or additions, and vice versa.

2. Planning is key

Proper planning is the key to our product development cycle, and it all starts with the design team – thinking up ideas to create a new product concept that will meet the needs of property professionals across the UK, both now and in the future. This is then passed on to the planning team, where the idea is brought to life. Which materials work best? What are the specifications? What equipment do we need? These are the kind of questions that help the team plan the production flow in the workshop and make sure it is organised and optimised. Once the plans are finalised, our production team takes control, shaping the idea into a tangible product. And we’re almost there…!

3. We have an eye for detail

A single team member will manage the production journey of a product every step of the way: for example, building an intercom, adding it to the management site and testing every button meticulously. But why is this so important? Well, it helps us to ensure hardware and software development work together seamlessly, to maintain those high standards we keep talking about.

Our eagle-eyed quality assurance team also checks every single item that leaves the production line to make sure everything is in perfect condition. And we don’t rest on our laurels – we are always looking for ways to improve how we work and boost efficiencies. This is much easier with our production team working under one roof: teamwork really is crucial!

A well-oiled machine

By delving behind the scenes of our product development cycle, you can see why we insist on having the very best team, and that it is all done in-house. We know what happens to our products every step of the way – it’s why we are so confident in their quality by the time they reach properties in the UK. It’s a finely tuned process that helps bring out our best ideas, so we can launch new, exciting products every year and guarantee the highest quality systems every time.
